All proceeds from the event benefit DemocraShe, a nonpartisan organization dedicated to empowering young women, starting in high school, to run for office. Based in Los Angeles, DemocraShe has reached 33 states and trained 744 girls (93% of whom are girls of color and 70% first-generation Americans) in civics, leadership, and resilience.
Does it work? Absolutely. One of their graduates is now the youngest elected official in the state of Maryland!
