All proceeds from the event benefit DemocraShe, a nonpartisan organization dedicated to empowering young women, starting in high school, to run for office. Based in Los Angeles, DemocraShe has reached 42 states and trained over 1500 young women (93% of whom are girls of color and 70% first-generation Americans) in civics, leadership, and resilience.
Does it work? Absolutely. One of their graduates is now the youngest elected official in the state of Maryland!
